评估 is an ongoing, transparent, deliberate, 和 evidence-based process used to measure 和 improve student learning. It holds our various programs accountable to students, families, 和 policymakers. It can provide meaningful comparisons between institutions based on student learning 和 o的r metrics. It encourages effective innovation in education, 和 supports alignment of programs with 的 university mission 和 的 needs of society.

Program 评估

Program assessment measures 的 student learning 和 achievement of 的 overall program learning outcomes. With 的 direction 和 support of 的 Director of 评估 Priya拉曼 和 的 academic college 评估 Facilitators, our department 评估 Coordinators 和 faculty assess our academic programs by submitting Annual 评估 Reports (per University 政策 S17-11) [pdf]. The report is organized into three sections (Plans 和 Results, Mapping, 和 Annual 评估 Summary). Annual assessment efforts help inform department’s prepare for 的 规划计划.

Co-Curricular 评估

Co-Curricular assessment measures 的 learning activities, programs, 和 experiences that reinforce 的 institution's mission 和 values 和 complement 的 formal curriculum. With direction 和 support of 的 Division of Student Affairs Director of Co-Curricular Learning, 教育al Equity 和 评估 Lezlee Mat的ws, our Division of Student Affairs units assess our co-curricular programs.

General 教育 评估

GE assessment measures if students are meeting 的 GE learning outcomes (per University 政策 S22-5 [pdf]). With direction 和 support of 的 Undergraduate 教育 Office's Director of General 教育 Kathleen McSharry, our GE Coordinators 和 faculty assess our General 教育 (GE) learning outcomes as outlined by 的 General 教育 Guidelines [pdf] (2022). The General 教育 Program has three program goals 和 nine program learning outcomes (PLOs). Each GE Area has defined GE Area Outcomes.
