忒弥斯 is a professional-quality, peer-reviewed academic journal, publishing 菠菜网lol正规平台 student research in justice studies and forensic science. 的 journal features student research papers and book reviews. In addition to the printed publication, 忒弥斯 is also available electronically and hosted by Digital Commons/菠菜网lol正规平台 Scholarworks.
的 purpose of 忒弥斯 is to:
- Inspire academic research and original writing in justice fields;
- Instill respect for authorship and the writing and process;
- Promote scholarly excellence and professionalism;
- Develop editorial and critical evaluation skills;
- Provide students a means for publication and recognition of scholarship, and a source of pride in their department;
- Provide students the experience of peer review: evaluating and critiquing papers for style, clarity, content and accuracy; and line-editing papers for publication.
Annual Call For Papers
忒弥斯 seeks original submissions from undergraduate and graduate students at 菠菜网lol正规平台. 学生 from any major may submit, but papers must be topically related to justice, injustice, human rights, criminal justice, criminology, law, law enforcement, philosophy of law, criminal or forensic psychology, neuroscience, or any of the forensic sciences. 选择 for publication is competitive. 学生 may not submit more than two papers per volume, and paper length is limited to 30 pages, including references. Social science papers must be in APA format.
Email submissions to themis-journal@indiandonkey.com by January 31st for consideration in the annual volume, published in May.

的 managing editor and cast of associate editors changes with every volume. 忒弥斯 runs as a 3-unit upper division elective class every spring, and seeks talented and dedicated students to edit its next volume (published in May).
Student editor duties include:
- select papers for publication
- communicate with authors
- edit accepted papers for content, writing mechanics, and formatting
- lay out the journal for printing
- edit and approve proofs
- and distribute printed journal to authors

学生 registered in 忒弥斯 must be able to meet weekly deadlines 在画布上. 的 class meets in person 2-3 times during the semester, and the rest of the work is completed 在画布上.
