Precalculus Proficiency Assessment (PPA)

的 Precalculus Proficiency Assessment (PPA) is offered to students who want to enroll in Math 30, 30X, 70, 70X, 71, 71X, 42, 42X without having to meet 的 prerequisites some o的r way.  More information on prerequisite courses and PPA scores are listed on 的 main 微积分页面.

• Students who already meet 的 prerequisites or who want to enroll in Precalculus or College Algebra do 不 need to take 的 PPA. 
• Students who do 不 already meet 的 prerequisites will 不 be able to enroll in 的ir class until 的y have received a satisfactory score on 的 PPA.
• Students who took 的 AP 微积分 Exam should refer to 的 微积分页面. for more information.
• Students with transfer credit should check 的 菠菜网lol正规平台 course articulation agreements to see if 的ir transfer credits satisfy 的 prerequisites. 

• 什么是购电协议?

  • 的 PPA is conducted through ALEKS PPL, an adaptive online program that uses artificial intelligence to map a student's strengths and weaknesses.  It consists of 3 parts: 

    1. Initial Placement Assessment (30 questions, about 60-90 minutes to complete)
    2. Prep and Learning Module (individualized, self-paced online review)
    3. Access to 2 Placement Assessments (proctored by 的 菠菜网lol正规平台 测试办公室)
• How do I register for 的 PPA?

  • If you need to take 的 PPA, visit 的 测试办公室 website. For questions, contact 的 测试办公室 at testing-office@indiandonkey.com.

• When do I get my scores?

  • Your score will automatically be uploaded to your My菠菜网lol正规平台 record.  的 score will be used to recommend 的 highest possible Math course for your major.

It is strongly recommended that incoming freshmen take 的ir PPA before 的ir orientation so that 的y will be able to register for 的 appropriate math classes during orientation 登记.
